Vodafone Volunteers Meet with Women and Children in Adıyaman

Vodafone Volunteers undertook a one-day visit to Adıyaman to support the initiatives led by the Vodafone Foundation in the earthquake-affected region, in collaboration with the Ministry of National Education, Directorate General for Lifelong Learning. During their visit, the volunteers participated in workshops held at the Adıyaman Public Education Centre, supporting the handicraft activities of female trainees. They also visited the Child and Family Centre, established in partnership with AÇEV, where they engaged in meaningful conversations with women and children.

Committed to leading Turkey’s digital transformation, Vodafone continues to actively support employee engagement in volunteer initiatives. As part of the Vodafone Volunteers Program, delivered under the theme “Standing by Goodness”, 25 volunteers carried out a one-day field visit to Adıyaman to contribute to the “Connected Women” project, run by the Vodafone Foundation in cooperation with the Ministry of National Education, Directorate General for Lifelong Learning. The volunteers joined seven different workshops at the Adıyaman Public Education Centre and assisted with the handicraft work of female participants. As part of the educational component of the project, they also contributed to the “Introduction to the Digital World” seminar—specifically tailored for the earthquake-affected region—providing training to women on subjects such as digital literacy, sales and marketing, customer satisfaction, e-commerce platforms, and social media. The visit concluded with a stop at the Child and Family Centre established in collaboration with AÇEV, where volunteers engaged directly with women and children in the community.

Hasan Süel, Deputy CEO of Vodafone Türkiye, commented:

“At Vodafone, we strongly support our employees’ involvement in social responsibility projects and deeply value their contributions. Through the Vodafone Volunteers Program, we aim to foster a culture of volunteerism across our organization. This program allows us to create an emotional connection between our colleagues and our social impact initiatives, providing them with opportunities to meaningfully touch the lives of others. By working alongside our volunteers, we not only expand the reach and impact of our projects but also promote employee development while creating broader value for society. Our volunteers visited Adıyaman to support the activities of the Connected Women project, implemented in partnership with the Directorate General for Lifelong Learning. They also visited the Child and Family Centre established with AÇEV. We remain committed to expanding our volunteer efforts.”
