The Winners of Connected Women's Social Media Campaign Competition Were Announced

Implemented in collaboration with the Ministry of National Education Directorate General of Life Long Learning, ISKUR (Turkish Employment Agency), and Vodafone Turkey Foundation, the "Connected Women" project's Social Media Campaign Competition has declared its winners. Nurcihan Baltacı won the first, Safiye Nazlıhan Bayraktar was the second, and Sinem Semercioğlu was the third place in the competition with a total of 82 applications. Also, Pınar Taşkıran and Serpil Karakuş were awarded the Special Jury Award.

Implemented by the Ministry of National Education Directorate General of Life Long Learning, ISKUR (Turkish Employment Agency), and Vodafone Turkey Foundation to bring the power of technology to the potential of women, the "Connected Women" project's competition excitement has finally over. With this project that aims to improve the digital skills of women over 18, the countdown has started for the final of the Social Media Campaign Competition, held among women who have finished their "Digital Marketing" training. During this process, the competition received 82 applications. As a result, Nurcihan Baltacı from Kastamonu Central Public Education Center won the first, Safiye Nazlıhan Bayraktar from İstanbul Kağıthane Public Education Center won the second, and Sinem Semercioğlu from İstanbul Feneryolu Public Education Center won in third place. Also, Pınar Taşkıran from İstanbul Kadıköy Public Education Center and Serpil Karakuş from Gaziantep Şehitkamil Public Education Center were awarded the Special Jury Award.

Mr. Sabahattin Dülger, the General Director of the Ministry of National Education Directorate General of Life Long Learning , stated:

"At the Directorate General of Life Long Learning, we believe that the most valuable natural resource of a country is people and continue to provide educational support to all individuals seeking to improve themselves, regardless of their wide range of abilities, ages, and education level. The Connected Women is a project we have implemented for this vision, aiming to empower disadvantaged women in the digital field. We continue our project's Digital Literacy and Digital Marketing training in 13 provinces while expanding the project scope each day with the great interest of women. With our training that started in December 2020, we are happy that we have provided training to over 5,000 women in the digital field until today. Besides providing training, our project also offers opportunities to women to implement this training with the Social Media Campaign Competition. We want to congratulate all our trainees and award-winners who participated in this project, which allowed them to put their training into practice. Moreover, we would like to note that our efforts will continue for a lifelong learning Turkey.

"At Vodafone Turkey Foundation, we believe that each work we do should serve a purpose. With the 'Connected Women' project, we aim to increase women's inclusion in economic life by improving their digital competencies. Women leveraging our project have a substantial advantage with their training on adapting to the digital world and participation in the labour force. Within the project's scope, we have held a Social Media Campaign Competition among women who completed our 40-hour 'Digital Marketing' training. For this competition, we received 82 applications. After the pre-selection stage, 21 women qualified for the competition. During the competition, our contestants were tasked to manage the social media accounts of a small business they chose for one month. After the jury evaluated the projects of our competitors, the winners were announced. We are happy to congratulate our contestants and wish them continuous success. As Vodafone Turkey Foundation, we will continue to streamline women's lives with the opportunities offered by digital technologies."

We will reach nearly 12,000 women in 13 provinces

The "Connected Women" project provides female trainees with 24-hour "Digital Literacy" and 40 hours of "Digital Marketing" training. Training, which are held in İstanbul, Ankara, İzmir, Bursa, Antalya, Samsun, Mardin, Afyonkarahisar, Elazığ, Sivas, Kastamonu, and Ağrı, are given by 140 trainers working at the Public Education Centers in these provinces. Regarding training within the scope of the project, some are given in person, while others are provided as videos, which are watched on the Distance Education platform of the Ministry of National Education Directorate General of Life Long Learning. The project aims to reach around 12,000 women in 13 provinces.
