The Employment Process of the First Graduates Started in "Connected Women"

Launched in collaboration with the Ministry of National Education General Directorate for Lifelong Learning, ISKUR (Turkish Employment Agency), and Vodafone Turkey Foundation, the "Connected Women" project celebrates its first graduates. Joining the project from 8 different provinces, 20 women will start working remotely after completing their basic training at Vodafone Customer Services.

Implemented by the Ministry of National Education General Directorate for Lifelong Learning, ISKUR (Turkish Employment Agency), and Vodafone Turkey Foundation to bring the power of technology to the potential of women, the “Connected Women” project initiated the employment process for its first graduates. Intending to increase the digital skills of women over the age of 18, the project includes 20 women from 8 different provinces who will start working remotely after completing their basic training at Vodafone Customer Services.

While evaluating the employment process, Mr. Yusuf Büyük, General Director of the Ministry of National Education General Directorate for Lifelong Learning , stated:

“At the General Directorate of Lifelong Learning, we support women who implement lifelong learning as a principle in their lives and would like to develop and work in digital fields with the 'Connected Women' project. The persistence and determination of our trainees, who resumed their education despite the pandemic conditions, demonstrated the women's eagerness to learn technology. Thanks to our project launched in December, we are proud to have over 3,000 women graduates who have completed our Digital Literacy and Digital Marketing training in 13 provinces. We would like to thank our stakeholders, Vodafone and Vodafone Turkey Foundation, who started the employment process for our graduate women by providing them with the opportunity to work remotely. Also, we would like to add that we will continue to work on guiding and employing more women to professions in the field of technology. We will continue to support women in their digitalization journey for Turkey's lifelong learning and development."

While evaluating the employment process, Mr. Hasan Süel, the President of Vodafone Turkey Foundation , stated:

We implemented a project that will contribute to our society's digitalization and support women's development. We are happy to see that the women leveraging our project are one step ahead with the training they receive to adapt to the digital world and participate in employment. We have initiated the employment process for our project's first graduates. Joining our project from 8 different provinces, 20 women will start working remotely after completing their basic training at Vodafone Customer Services. We wish that the success story of our beneficiaries will inspire each woman. We believe that a better future is possible with the power coming from the unity of technology and people. "Connected Women" will reach around 12,000 women in 13 provinces

The "Connected Women" project aims to reach about 12,000 women in total by providing "Digital Literacy" training to 10,500 women and "Digital Marketing" training to 1,200 women in13 provinces Within the project, female trainees receive 24-hour "Digital Literacy" and 40 hours of "Digital Marketing" training. Training, which are held in İstanbul, Ankara, İzmir, Bursa, Antalya, Samsun, Mardin, Afyonkarahisar, Elazığ, Sivas, Kastamonu, and Ağrı, are given by 140 trainers working at the Public Education Centers in these provinces. Regarding training, some are given in person, while others are provided as videos, which are watched on the Distance Education platform of the General Directorate of Lifelong Learning.
