The Competition Spirit Has Started to Show Itself for the "Connected Women"

As part of the "Connected Women" project, implemented in collaboration with the Ministry of National Education Directorate General of Life Long Learning, ISKUR (Turkish Employment Agency), and Vodafone Turkey Foundation, a Social Media Campaign Contest will be held among women who completed "Digital Marketing" training. During the competition, our contestants will manage the social media accounts of a small business they choose for one month. Applications will be open until May 21.

Implemented by the Ministry of National Education Directorate General of Life Long Learning, ISKUR (Turkish Employment Agency), and Vodafone Turkey Foundation to bring the power of technology to the potential of women, the "Connected Women" project's competition excitement has started. With this project that aims to improve the digital skills of women over 18, the Social Media Campaign Competition will be held among women who completed their "Digital Marketing" training. During the competition, our contestants will be tasked with managing the social media accounts of a small business they choose for one month. At the end of the competition, the top 3 winners will receive a cash prize, while 2 competitors will win the Special Jury Award.

Applications for the Social Media Campaign Competition will be accepted until May 21. Providing a business plan and motivation letter will be sufficient to apply to the competition. Applicants who pass the pre-qualification will be eligible to participate in the competition.

"Believing that a country's most valuable natural resource is its people, we, as the Directorate General of Life Long Learning, continue to provide educational support to those seeking to improve themselves, regardless of their abilities, ages, or education levels. Launched with this vision, the 'Connected Women' is a project prepared with a compound education model that aims to empower disadvantaged women in the digital field. Our project's Digital Literacy and Digital Marketing training continue in 13 provinces. Moreover, the scope of our project is expanding each day thanks to the great interest of women. With the training that began in December, we are pleased to provide training to nearly 4,000 women in the digital field until today. Besides providing training, our project also offers opportunities to women to implement this training with the Social Media Campaign Competition. We wish success to all our trainees in this competition, which offers its participants an opportunity to implement their training. We also would like to note that our work will resume for a life long learning Turkey."

We will reach nearly 12,000 women in 13 provinces

The "Connected Women" project provides women with 24-hour "Digital Literacy" and 40 hours of "Digital Marketing" training. Training, which are held in İstanbul, Ankara, İzmir, Bursa, Antalya, Samsun, Mardin, Afyonkarahisar, Elazığ, Sivas, Kastamonu, and Ağrı, are given by 140 trainers working at the Public Education Centers in these provinces. Regarding training within the scope of the project, some are given in person, while others are provided as videos, which are watched on the Distance Education platform of the Ministry of National Education Directorate General of Life Long Learning. The project aims to reach around 12,000 women in 13 provinces.

The project provides digital vocational training

The "Digital Marketing" training given within the "Connected Women" project aims to provide women with digital skills and enable them to join the workforce by providing digital vocational training. Some of the training subjects are Introduction to Marketing and Fundamentals of Digital Marketing, Social Media Management, Visual Production and Management, Mobile Marketing, Current Strategies in Digital Marketing, E-Mail Marketing, Essential Approaches in Public Relations and Digital Reputation Management, Legal Regulations, E-Commerce, Search Engine Marketing, and Social Media Management. The General Directorate of Turkish Employment Agency also provides its support with the Occupation Club, a career consultancy program focusing on "Digital Marketing" training.
