Vodafone Volunteers Bring Support And Solidarity to Elazı
Vodafone Volunteers paid a one-day visit to Elazığ to support the initiatives carried out by the Vodafone Foundation in the earthquake-impacted zone, in cooperation with the Ministry of National Education Directorate General of Lifelong Learning. During their visit, the volunteers attended workshops held at Elazığ Public Education Centre and supported the creative efforts of women trainees engaged in handicrafts.
Operating with the vision of leading Turkey's digitalization, Vodafone continues to support the volunteering efforts of its employees. As part of the Vodafone Volunteers Programme, which continues under the theme of Standing for Good, volunteers made a day-long visit to Elazığ to support the “Connected Women” project carried out by the Vodafone Foundation in cooperation with the Ministry of National Education Directorate General of Lifelong Learning. Vodafone Volunteers participated in eight different workshops at Elazığ Public Education Centre and supported the handicraft work of women trainees. Vodafone Volunteers also took part in the “Introduction to the Digital World” Seminar specially designed for the earthquake-impacted region and provided training to women on a range of topics including the digital world, sales-marketing, customer satisfaction, e-commerce platforms and social media.

Vodafone Supports Employee Engagement with Two Days of Volunteer Leave
All Vodafone employees are encouraged to take part in the Vodafone Volunteers Programme which has so far reached over 800 participants. In addition, the company has established a dedicated volunteer team around 180 people. Vodafone aims to engage 55% of its volunteers through 8 to 10 activities each year. To keep volunteer engagement strong, regular meetings are held twice a year. Last but not least, Vodafone grants 2 days of volunteer leave each year to support participation,.
